Ingredients (for dough):

  • 2 cups Medium Coarse Bulgur
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the filling:

  • 5 red peppers
  • 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup almonds
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup olive oil

Preparation:

Soak the bulgur in hot water for 30 minutes. Mix flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add to bulgur along with olive oil. Knead until smooth. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Roast and peel the peppers, then chop them. Sauté onions with olive oil, add peppers, and spices. Toast the sesame seeds, walnuts, and almonds. Shape the dough into rounds and top with the pepper mixture. Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes. Bon Appetit!
